Bob Winfrey

Bob Winfrey, of Bend, died Tuesday of natural causes. He was 70.

No services are planned.

Mr. Winfrey was born March 31, 1938, in Cliffside Park, N.J., the son of William and Nancy (Paradise) Winfrey.

He graduated with a master’s degree from California State University, San Bernardino. He married Louise Tillinghast on Oct. 31, 1968, in Juarez, Mexico.

Mr. Winfrey worked as a teacher in the Coachella Valley School District in California, retiring in 2007.

He was a Mason. He enjoyed wood carving, camping and fishing.

He moved to Bend in 2007.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dave, of Bend; a daughter, Lisa, of Bend; a brother, Richard, of Dumont, Colo.; and three grandchildren.

Autumn Funerals in Bend is in charge of arrangements.
