Doyle Rogers, of Terrebonne, died March 31 of natural causes. He was 70.
No services are planned.
Mr. Rogers was born July 7, 1937, in Sasakawa, Okla., the son of Roy and Minnie (Parks) Rogers. He graduated from high school in California in 1955. He married Betty Nations.
Mr. Rogers served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959. He worked as an electrical engineer for the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory in Livermore, Calif., for 30 years, retiring in 1990.
He coached and played soccer, and he enjoyed fishing, reading and spending time with family.
He moved to Terrebonne 16 years ago.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Barry, of Terrebonne, and Richard, of Manteca, Calif.; three brothers, Don and Arnold, both of Antioch, Calif., and Louis, of Texas; a sister, Mary Wofford, of Antioch; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
