Local instrumental post-rock quartet Empty Space Orchestra has built quite a reputation over the past several months, wowing Bend music fans with one spine-tingling performance after another and leaving dozens of inadequate adjectives in their wake: Epic. Intergalactic. Psychedelic. Kaleidoscopic. And probably other words that end with “ic.”

Most recently, ESO dropped a good number of jaws at the Bend Roots Revival. So what will they do to top themselves for an extra-special Halloween show in McMenamins Old St. Francis School's spacious movie theater? Well, you can expect the usual ESO experience, pumped up with costumes, weird video projections, a handful of new, heavy songs and a couple of interesting covers, plus a mysterious man behind the curtain whose sole job is to make you feel uneasy.

Sounds fun, right? It will be.

Empty Space Orchestra, with Mosley Wotta; 9 p.m. Saturday; free; McMenamins Old St. Francis School theater, 700 N.W. Bond St., Bend; 541-382-5174 or www.mcmenamins.com.
