This weekend's musical offerings in Bend are all so heavy, man. Punk rock, industrial noise, thumping hip-hop and dense, loud rock abounds.
So what if you want to dress up, chill out and enjoy some sweet string music played by nimble pickers who know how to delight without being deafening?
Bend's own Moon Mountain Ramblers are throwing a Halloween Hoedown on Saturday night, and they'll get the dance floor going with the same amiable blend of folk, rock, jazz, blues and bluegrass that has made them one of the region's most popular bands over the past several years. This time, they'll mix in some secret, spooktacular covers just for the occasion, too.
Your job is to show up ready for the costume contest. May we suggest something loose-fitting for easy dance-ability?
