Police are seeking information about a brush fire that broke out in northeast Bend early Friday morning.
Authorities responded to a report of a fire near Northeast Studio Road just after midnight and found a brush fire spreading to nearby trees. The street was closed, and a detour was established while firefighters extinguished the fire. Residents of the nearby Alpine Meadow Apartments were advised of the fire and prepared to evacuate, though no evacuation was necessary.
The police are continuing an investigation into the fire. Anyone with information is asked to call 541-693-6911.
