Rob Mies, director of the Organization for Bat Conservation, holds Congo, a straw-colored flying fox, in between his Bats! Live shows Tuesday at the High Desert Museum outside Bend. Mies is introducing museum visitors to live bats such as the straw-colored flying fox, Malayan flying fox and golden fruit bat.
