* 14U Central Oregon Babe Ruth squad loses two: The 14U National team dropped two games in the 2012 North Oregon 14U State Tournament on Friday in Bend, falling to 0-3 in the tournament. The squad received a solid outing by starting pitcher Conner Olson in an 8-5 loss to Oregon Swat of Keizer but could not come up with the win. In its afternoon game, the team dropped a 10-0 decision to Mound Time of Tualatin Hills, which received a one-hitter from its starting pitcher. Central Oregon’s final pool play match of the tournament, against Harney County, is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. today at Bend High School.
