Eleanor Wyckoff was born on a dairy farm in Fenton Michigan with her twin brother. Her favorite story was being wrapped up in blankets and placed on the oven door for warmth. Eleanor graduated in Nursing from the Univ. of Michigan. She worked at Willow Run during the war where she met Gerald Engle. They wed on July 22, 1944.
They have two children Michael and Patricia. Eleanor specialized working with premature babies. She also assisted Gerald in the garage construction business. They remodeled several houses, a favorite was a run-down farm house that was over 100 years old. After their children graduated from college, they moved around the country playing different golf courses. Eleanor enjoyed growing flowers especially roses to be given away. Eleanor loved being active with her grandchildren, Sarah and Joseph. And oh, how she loved her great-grand- daughter, Sadie.
