The federal trial of a former Bend Police captain and his real estate broker wife has been delayed until January.
Kevin and Tami Sawyer were indicted in October 2010 on multiple counts, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, bank fraud, money laundering and false statement to a financial institution.
The trial has now been set more than five times; it was originally scheduled for January 2011, then for March 2011, December 2011, April 2012 and October 2012.
