Donald Paul Schreiber, born in Portland, OR. Attended schools in Portland including Portland State College (University) where he earned a degree in mathematics.

As a youth, Boy Scouts were a big part of his life. He achieved the Order of the Arrow and later served as Camp Counselor at Camp Meriwether in Tillamook.

Don began his career with the Internal Revenue Service in Portland, and in 1970, met and married Barbara (Mauldin).

He served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957, and was stationed at Ft. Carson, CO, in the Military Police unit.

Don was an avid golfer and belonged to Juniper Golf Club. He was also a skilled woodworker.

Survived by his wife, Barbara; a son, Kurt (Jennifer) in Auburn, WA; a step-daughter, Lynda Lewis (Jason) of Tigard, OR; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

No services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Partners In Care Hospice, Bend or Zion Lutheran Church, Redmond (Building Fund).

Redmond Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the family.
