A Bend woman was seriously injured Friday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on the Bend Parkway, police said.
Nellie Conte, 56, is in critical condition at St. Charles Bend after being thrown from her motorcycle. The crash happened near the Empire Avenue on-ramp. At the time of the crash, traffic had slowed down due to a separate crash. Police say Conte lost control in an effort to adjust to the slowing traffic.
The incident is still under investigation. The parkway was reduced to a single lane for two hours.
