Basil Plumley, 92: Decorated U.S. Army paratrooper who was a rare veteran of three wars: World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Died Oct. 10 at a hospice in Columbus, Ga.
Kyle Bennett, 33: Three-time world champion bicycle motocross racer who represented the United States in the inaugural appearance of BMX racing in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Died Sunday in an auto accident in Conroe, Texas.
