Bend police officers are looking for a driver who reportedly waved a gun at another driver Monday night.
The motorists tried to merge into the same lane about 8:50 p.m. near U.S. Highway 97 and Empire Boulevard, police said. The driver of a white Ford Mustang reportedly flashed a gun, police said. No other details were available Tuesday.
Sgt. Dan Ritchie said the case is still under investigation, and police still need to talk to the driver of the Mustang. Police have no reason to believe the public is in any danger, Ritchie said. Anyone with information about the incident may call police dispatch at 541-693-7911.
