Forest Arnold "Arnie" Brandt, age 81, of Bend Oregon, was received in heaven on November 3, 2012. That day he was lovingly surrounded by family. Arnie was born in Dalhart, Texas to Verna Blake and Clifford Brandt. He was the oldest of three sons, his brothers being Carl and Oliver Brandt. Arnie was hard working and had a large country heart. While he lived in Texas he worked as a farm hand and drove cattle trucks. Arnie was a parent figure to many foster children and was a very influential person to all the children in the family. He was a generous and caring man who couldn't help but to offer support to whomever needed it. Arnie is survived by his brother, Oliver Brandt, two children, eight grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. There will be a celebration of his life held on November 21, 2012 at Hollinshead Park, located at 1235 NE Jones Rd. in Bend, Oregon at 2:30 p.m.
