The Central Oregon Council on Aging seeks volunteers to assist with the annual Thanksgiving meal for seniors who don’t have family with whom to share the holiday.
The meal is coordinated through Jake’s Diner and will be served from noon to 5 p.m. at the Bend Senior Center, 1600 S.E. Reed Market Road. The cost is $7.50 per person.
Volunteers will serve the at-cost meal as well as deliver meals to those who can’t or don’t want to leave their homes. Volunteers must be able to work shifts from 10 to 11:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. or 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
