CORVALLIS — Eric Moreland got the news as he arrived for practice on Monday afternoon.

Oregon State men’s basketball coach Craig Robinson told him that his suspension for violation of team rules would be lifted for Saturday’s game at USC.

That means Moreland will head to Los Angeles with the team, but he’ll have to sit out tonight’s game at UCLA (6 p.m., ESPNU).

“It’s a lot of relief," Moreland said. “Of course I want to be out there to help the team, so when I found out I got a little extra good feeling inside and just tried to go hard for practice and help the team as much as I can for Thursday’s game against UCLA."

Victor Robbins will also play on Saturday. Both players were suspended prior to last Thursday’s game against Arizona State.

Robinson would not elaborate on his decision to sit both players for the UCLA game.

The Beavers could use the return of More- land, who averages 10.8 points and 11.1 rebounds a game.
