Nancy Adair McDermott, long-time Bend resident and recently moved to McMinnville, OR, has passed peacefully from this life. She was born in Fergus Falls, MN, on August 27, 1932, and passed in
McMinnville, OR, on January 13, 2013. She is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Simpson of Castro Valley, CA; two sons, Stephen from Lafayette, OR, David of Bend, OR; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; and her daughter, Elizabeth.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Macy and Sons of McMinnville and a memorial service is planned at Bend First United Methodist Church, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013.
Nancy and her husband, Jack, owned the M&J Tavern in the 1970s and 1980s.
Nancy was a devoted mother and grandmother, always putting her childrens welfare before her own.
The family asks that any gifts be made to the Parish Nursing program at the First United Methodist Church of Bend.
