Louise Christine Senneville Van Vactor of Sisters, Oregon, passed away on December 30, 2012, after an eight-year valiant fight with cancer. She was 64.
A private Celebration of a Life lived will take place at a later date.
Louise was born September 2, 1948, in Lac Saint-Jean, Quebec, to Claremont and Mary (Gauthier) Senneville. She met her husband, Samuel A. Van Vactor in Paris, France, and on August 14, 1976, they were married in Quebec. Louise, along with her husband lived in the Portland area for 23 years, before moving to Sisters, Oregon, in 2003.
She graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and worked as a translator.
She was an avid horseback rider and participated in the equestrian community in both Portland and Sisters. She also took pride in her knitting and was an active member of the Sisters Knitting Group.
Louise is survived by her loving husband, Samuel A. Van Vactor; a son, Samuel K. Van Vactor; and a daughter, Stephanie L. Van Vactor-Tiggs. Other survivors include her brothers, Daniel and Robert Senneville.
Louise will be forever missed by her husband, son and daughter; she brought love, life, honor and style to their lives and will not be forgotten.
