The Quick & Easy Boys continue to have one of the most eye-catching opening lines of a bio you’ll see:
“(The band,) a power-trio out of Portland, Oregon, create their own blend of funky R&B, psychedelic rock, and garage pop with a slight pinch of honky-tonk. Imagine the Minutemen, My Morning Jack and Funkadelic rolled into one."
Yes, but don’t imagine that too hard, or your mind might just explode.
Anyway, The Quick & Easy Boys’ hype is probably unattainable, but these three guys do a good job trying to get there. They blend funk, rock, psych and more into a fun and frenzied batch of party fuel that seems to get more potent with each passing year.
Want to hear it rather than read about it?
Well, here’s a cool thing: The Quick & Easy Boys have gathered songs from their first two albums and their upcoming third and posted them on Bandcamp under the name “Greatest Hits LP." You can stream it or download it for free at www.thequickandeasyboys.bandcamp.com.
