Dentist Blake Drew gives his patient Claire Campisi, 12, an exam Wednesday afternoon at Cosmetic and Family Dental Care in Bend. Drew will be joining dentists around the country by participating in the American Dental Association’s 2013 Give Kids a Smile Day on Friday. Dentists and others will be volunteering their time and services to provide screenings, treatment and education to children throughout the United States. The program is available throughout the year and is by referral only. To check if a child qualifies, parents can visit with their school’s family advocate to see if they meet the guidelines to participate.
