The ever-popular First Friday Gallery Walk, featuring art, wine, appetizers, music — you know the drill — returns to Bend tonight from 5 to 9 p.m. Here’s but a glimpse of some shows you’ll see if you head out to the galleries:
• Atelier 6000, 389 S.W. Scalehouse Courtm, Suite 120, shows “Above and Below the Surface," celebrating Glen Alps and his conceptual development of the collagraph printmaking process.
• Red Chair Gallery, 103 N.W. Oregon Ave., features “The Power of Color," works by Linda Swindle, Jacqueline Newbold, and Vanessa Julian. Reception from 5-9 tonight.
• Mockingbird Gallery, 869 N.W. Wall Street, presents new paintings by Xiaogang Zhu and the music of Rich Hurdle and Friends.
• Sage Custom Framing and Gallery, 834 N.W. Brooks St., presents unusual frame designs and mixed-media works by various artists, including gallery owner Denise Rich, in “Outside the Box."
