The Candy Bar Race, a cross-country ski race for elementary and middle school boys and girls, is scheduled for Saturday on the nordic trails at Mt. Bachelor ski area. A mass start is set for 11 a.m.; skiers can choose distances of 1 or 2.4 kilometers.
Registration will take place Saturday at Bachelor starting at 9:30 a.m. in the basement of the Nordic Ski Center. Cost is free for skiers who have a season pass, $7 for a trail pass otherwise. All finishers will receive a candy bar.
