Ronald Wayne Molebash, 77, died peacefully at home after a 14-month battle with brain cancer. Ron was born December 22, 1935 in Elkhart, Indiana to Clayton Doyle Molebash and Evelyn Yoder Molebash. He moved with his family to La Mesa, CA in the 1940s and attended Helix High School. On June 30, 1956, he married his high school sweetheart, Janet Rose Klingler, who had also moved from Elkhart to La Mesa with her family. They celebrated 56 years together last June.
Ron was a loving husband, father and friend. He worked for the San Diego County Schools until 1972 when the family moved to Eugene and later, Cheshire, OR, where they built their own home. He worked for the Eugene 4J school district until his retirement in 1996. Ron and Janet then traveled extensively in their motor home before settling in Central Oregon. They attended Eastmont Church where they were active in senior ministries. Ron loved sharing his interest in southern gospel music, the outdoors and fishing.
Ron is survived by his wife Janet of Bend, sons Wayne (Laura) of Sheridan, CA, David (Janene) of Pray, MT, John (Monica) of Warrenton, VA, Philip (Jen) of Pasadena, CA, sister Karen (Milt) Pierson of Monroe, OR, grandchildren Monique, Nichole, Robby, Erika, Evelyn, Jenson and Isabelle, and great granddaughter Reegan.
Services were held on January 24, 2013 at Eastmont Church in Bend, Oregon. Memorials may be made to Partners in Care, 2075 NE Wyatt Court, Bend, OR 97701
