The Super Bowl Sunday Dam Run was staged Sunday in Prineville. The annual event offers distances of 5, 10 and 20 miles and serves as a benefit for the Crook County High School track and field team.
Sisters’ Josh Nordell won the 20-mile race in 2 hours, 11 minutes, 5 seconds, while Tonya Littlehales was the top female finisher in 2:45:01.
In the 10-mile race, Redmond’s Rigo Ramirez cruised to victory in 1:09:53, and Anne Pendygraft, of Bend, was the first-place woman in 1:19:39. Jason Townsend, of Bend, won the 5-miler in 32:16, and Prineville’s Karlene Austin was the first female finisher in 42:01.
