A rundown of games and events to watch for locally and regionally from the world of sports:

Tuesday

Bend-Mountain View Civil War basketball, 7 p.m. — With the postseason on the horizon, the Lava Bears and Cougars renew their long rivalries as the girls square off at Bend High and the boys tip off at Mountain View.

Wednesday

National Letter of Intent signing day — College football teams around the nation, including Oregon and Oregon State, find out which recruits are headed their way. Televised broadcast of key signings is planned by ESPNU; daylong coverage begins at 4:30 a.m. PST.

Friday

High school swimming district championships, 5 p.m. — The first of two days of Class 5A Special District 1 competition takes place at Juniper Swim & Fitness Center in Bend. Preliminaries are Friday, finals take place Saturday.

Saturday

High school wrestling regional championships — The final day of the two-day Class 4A Special District 4 regional tournament takes place at Churchill High School in Eugene. Wrestlers from Bend, Mountain View, Summit and Redmond high schools will battle for state berths.

Saturday

Great Nordeen Ski Race — The 11th annual benefit for the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation is part skate-ski cross-country ski race (30K or 17K) and part celebration of local ski history. Starts 7:30 a.m. at Mt. Bachelor West Village Lodge, finishes at Wanoga Sno-park. Register online at mbsef.org; deadline is Thursday.
