Ronald Elden Cordis of Terrebonne, OR, died January 28, 2013, at the age of 70. Ronald was born March 22, 1942, in Mountain View, CA, to Elden and Clara (Wells) Cordis. Ron was born and raised in California, attended high school in San Jose, CA, and received an Associates Degree from SUNY.
Ron served in the US Navy from 1960-1967 on Nuclear Submarines.
On November 11, 1967, Ron married Beverly Burns in Portland, OR.
Ron worked in computer repair as an IBM service manager. In his spare time Ron enjoyed camping, fly fishing, bow hunting, auto mechanics, rebuilding cars, carpentry and home building.
He was a member of Missouri Synod Lutheran Church and Emmaus Lutheran Church in Redmond, OR.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beverly Cordis; four children, Kimberlie Burns, Kari Cordis, Bill (Kaelin) Cordis, Marty (Debbie) Cordis; two sisters, Claudia Cordis of Redmond, OR, and Rochelle Lidstrom of Portland, OR; nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ken.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., at Emmaus Lutheran Church, in Redmond, OR.
