Bend man cited after rollover

Deschutes County Sheriff’s deputies cited a 25-year-old Bend man on drunken driving charges after his pickup rolled over Monday night near La Pine and he was injured.

Deejay Leroy was driving east on La Pine State Recreation Road, about one-quarter mile west of Huntington Road, around 6:30 p.m., according to a news release. He drove a 1999 Dodge truck off the road on the south shoulder, over-corrected and then drove off the north side, causing the truck to roll over. It came to rest on its passenger side about 30 yards north of the road.

Leroy was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at St. Charles Bend and released, said Sgt. Troy Gotchy of the Sheriff’s Office. Lt. Kevin Dizney said Leroy was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.
