Jorun Downing, a third-grader at Seven Peaks School, won the art competition to create the official logo for the 2013 Mini Pole Pedal Paddle T-shirt. Her art was chosen from 40 entries.
Jorun will be awarded a gift from Saxon’s, shoes from Teva, a Round Table pizza party for her class and a free entry in the Mini Pole Pedal Paddle.
Finalists and prize-winners included Kaylee Carlton, a fourth-grader from Miller Elementary, Claire McDonald, a second-grader from Highland Elementary, Sam Henry, a sixth-grader from High Desert Middle School, and Megan Anderson, a sixth-grader from Cascade Middle School.
The Mini Pole Pedal Paddle will take place May 19 in the Les Schwab Amphitheater. Teams of six participants between first and sixth grade will compete in river rafting (with a guide), biking, an obstacle course and a run.
