Mosquitoes test positive for West Nile

BAKER CITY — Mosquitoes trapped near Baker City and tested for the West Nile virus were carrying the disease.

Health officials say the mosquitoes were trapped in Keating Valley northeast of Baker City.

The insects carry the disease, which infects birds, horses and people.
