Bend set to host marathon mountain bike nationals

Bend is set to host yet another major USA Cycling event.

The city will stage the 2011 and 2012 Marathon Mountain Bike National Championships on area trails, according to Doug LaPlaca of Visit Bend.

The event will be held sometime in September of each year, according to LaPlaca.
