Lee Wayne Reinhart

Lee Wayne Reinhart of Bend died Friday of complications due to a stroke. He was 72.

A celebration of life video tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Church.

Mr. Reinhart was born Dec. 20, 1928, in Foxhome, Minn., to Lee and Gladys Reinhart. He graduated from Bend Senior High School in 1946 and from Pacific University in 1951.

He married Annette McFarlin on Dec. 23, 1950.

Mr. Reinhart taught school in Prineville for one year. He then worked for JC Penney Company as a store manager. He enjoyed singing, boxing, fishing, camping, traveling and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of Bend; three sons, Jeffrey of Cortez, Colo., Douglas of Ogden, Utah, and Roland of Palm Springs, Calif.; one daughter, Debra Asakawa of Portland; two brothers, Roger and Arnold, both of Bend; three sisters, Virginia Hamilton-Cherry and Beverly Hamby, both of Bend and Bernadine Besson of Chula Vista, Calif; and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother.

Dana (Heggie) Saavedra

Dana (Heggie) Saavedra of Redmond died Wednesday of natural causes. She was 61.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Missionary Baptist Church in Prineville.

Mrs. Saavedra was born Jan. 13, 1940, in Little Rock, Ark., to Shelly and Elva (Stracner) Heggie. She married Raul Saavedra on Nov. 3, 1979, in Reno, Nev.

She was a school bus driver and instructor. She retired and moved to Redmond in 1991. She was an Avon Representative in Redmond until her death. Mrs. Saavedra enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, spending time with her family and the outdoors.

Survivors include her husband of Redmond; one son, Danny Shaw of Crooked River Ranch; four daughters, Cindy Janes of Redmond, Theresa McCauley of Auburn, Calif., Patricia Gray of Prineville and Sandy Graham of Aptos, Calif.; mother of Mitchell; two brothers, Gwendle Heggie of Oroville, Calif. and Ray Heggie of Mitchell; one sister, Verla Maxwell of Mitchell; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, two brothers and a grandchild.

James ‘Jim’ Madison Spores

James ”Jim” Madison Spores of Redmond died Tuesday of natural causes. He was 71.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Redmond.

Mr. Spores was born May 26, 1930, in Marcola. He married Delois Boyd in 1956, in Gresham.

He worked for Dwyers Plywood in Portland for 20 years. He then worked at Alex Spec Electronic Company in Portland. He lived in Redmond for the last 9 years. Mr. Spores was affiliated with the Jehovah’s Witnesses of Redmond. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and camping.

Survivors include his wife of Redmond; three sons, Terry of Tucson, Ariz., Barak of Portland and Jonathan of Redmond; one daughter, Jamey Finch of Molalla; three brothers, Darrel of Grants Pass and Allen and Gene, both of Springfield; one sister, Beverly DeSpain of Christmas Valley; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.

Paul St. Clair

Paul St. Clair of Redmond died Wednesday of natural causes. He was 57.

Viewings will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, at Autumn Funerals in Redmond. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God Church in Redmond. Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Sunset Hill in Eugene.

Mr. St. Clair was born Dec. 14, 1943, in Huntingtonburg, Ind., to Ira and Ruth (Bright) St. Clair. He married Terry on July 15, 1972, in Tillamook.

He served in the U.S. Army. He owned St. Clair Roofing in Corvallis and then owned Sundance Shoes in Sisters. He moved to Redmond in 1998.

Mr. St. Clair was affiliated with the Redmond Assembly of God Church and Republican Party. He was a member of Gideons International. He enjoyed bow hunting, bowling and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of Redmond; three sons, Mace of Lewiston, Idaho, and Aaron and Jacob, both of Redmond; one daughter, Tara Sinclair of La Pine; mother of Eugene; one brother, Cecil Wilmarth of Eugene; seven sisters, Wilma Morrow of Carson, Wash., Joyce Given, Sherrill Harris and Nita Harding, all of Eugene, Donna Asbell of Portland, Charlene Cramer of Pittsburg, Pa., and Tricia Hayes of Gresham; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Guido ‘Gus’ Santilli

Guido ”Gus” Santilli of Bend died Thursday of natural causes. He was 67.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Following the service will be a graveside service and burial at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Santilli was born Dec. 31, 1933, in Portland. He married Patricia.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He worked for the IRS until 1975 when he opened his own CPA firm in Redmond, Guido Santilli CPA Firm. He moved to Bend in 1983 and was an accountant for small businesses.

Mr. Santilli was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a past little league coach and Boy Scout leader. He enjoyed barbecueing, painting, sports, swimming and camping.

Survivors include his wife of Bend; one son, Mark of Clackamas; four daughters, Lori Sampels of Katy, Texas, Lisa Sundseth of Redmond and Linda Taylor and Lesli, both of Bend; one sister, Mary Cotonzariti of Portland; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Mary E. (Hodges) Forkes

Mary E. (Hodges) Forkes of Bend died Wednesday of natural causes. She was 73.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Deschutes Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Forkes was born Sept. 25, 1927, in Glendale, Calif. She married Donald Forkes in 1946, in Glendale, Calif.

She was a bookkeeper for Lake County Realty and also in the health care industry. She retired in 1982. She moved to Bend in 1984.

Mrs. Forkes was affiliated with the Christian Life Center Church of Bend. She enjoyed gardening, camping and tole painting, and she raised, tended and showed quarter horses.

Survivors include her husband, Donald of Bend; one son, Gary of Rohnert Park, Calif.; and one daughter, Nancy Harmon of Grangeville, Idaho.
