After nearly two decades, the city of Bend has a new recorder who will oversee public records, handle many of the details associated with municipal elections and act as the clerk of the City Council.

Robyn Christie has been hired to replace Patty Stell, who retired at the end of 2011 after working for the city of Bend for 30 years. Christie was the city recorder in Lake Oswego for 12 years before accepting the job in Bend.

Stell started as Bend’s city recorder in 1993. She was hired in 1981 as an office assistant in the city’s engineering department.
