COBURG — As part of a restructuring plan, Navistar International Corp. plans to lay off 255 workers at its Monaco recreational vehicle plant in Coburg.
Monaco will cease production of motorized RVs in Coburg. It plans to move the production and some management work to Indiana and move some management jobs to Navistar headquarters in Illinois.
In a notice to the state of Oregon, the company says the staggered layoffs in Coburg will begin later this month.
Navistar spokesman Steve Schrier says the company expects to keep 150 jobs in Coburg, producing towable RVs and running a service center.
