Oregon ranks high in health

Oregon is not the healthiest state in the nation, but at least by some measures, it’s far from the worst.

The 23rd annual America’s Health Rankings, a state-by-state assessment of national health published by United Health Foundation, American Public Health Association and Partnership for Prevention, ranked Oregon as the 13th healthiest state overall this year; it was 8th in 2011.

In the category of physical activity, Oregon took fourth place.
