A Bend man wanted on a parole violation was arrested after leading police on a car chase Wednesday evening, the Bend Police Department said.
Adam Jason Hagenbach, 38, was arrested on the suspicion of fleeing or attempting to elude, possessing methamphetamine, carrying a concealed weapon, being a felon and possessing a weapon and for parole violation.
At around 6 p.m., a Bend police officer attempted to stop a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado on U.S. Highway 97 near Robal Road after a traffic violation. The officer recognized the driver, Hagenbach, as being wanted for parole violation. Hagenbach did not stop when signalled to and led the officer on a car chase, police said.
The officer stopped pursuing Hagenbach on Vogt Road, and after a search of the surrounding area, police located Hagenbach with his car parked nearby.
Hagenbach was found to be in possession of a restricted weapon and methamphetamine during the arrest, police said.
