Tickets are now available for “TEDxBend 2013: Leaps and Boundaries,” this year’s community-level TED conference. The conference is set for April 6 at Summit High School and will feature a number of speakers.
TEDx is meant to spark dialogue and invoke actionable ideas with a purpose of social change. TED — a nonprofit that began in 1984 as a gathering of people from the worlds of technology, entertainment and design — has several types of events, including an annual national conference, an annual global conference, community-level conferences and TED talks, which are videos available on the Internet of the best TED speeches.
TEDxBend will feature speakers Joe Abraham talking about entrepreneurship, Kelley Kalafatich talking about fear and Kevin English talking about high school education, among others.
Tickets are $75 and are limited to four per purchaser. The price includes entry to an afterparty at the Boys and Girls Club Bend branch. Contact: tedxbend.com.
