• William “Skip” James has joined Sunriver Resort as the new director of sales and marketing. In this position he will lead a team in the sales, marketing and conventions departments. James previously worked as the director of sales and marketing for 12 years with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, where he worked at several resorts and received multiple awards. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Oklahoma State University.

• Katy Elliott has joined Total Property Resources in Bend as a new broker. Elliott has been involved in real estate investment for 21 years and previously worked as a marriage and family counselor.

• Daniel Di Spaltro, Alex Polvi and Logan Welliver were among the recipients of this year’s Weatherford Awards. The group co-founded Cloudkick, a company which provides cloud server monitoring and management tools. The Weatherford Awards are given to entrepeneurs and innovators. Sam, Nanci and Nick Di Spaltro, own Bend Mailing Services.
