The League of Women Voters of Deschutes County will host a free informational meeting about the Deschutes Collaborative Forest Project on June 6.

The public meeting will take place at the Black Bear Diner on Northeast Third Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature Deschutes County Commissioner Alan Unger, who is also the chair of the forest collaborative’s steering committee. It will also feature local rangers and forest ecologists speaking about the restoration project, and details on how to get involved.
