Central Oregon farmers markets are starting up. Two markets, the Backyard Farmers Market at Celebrate the Season in Bend and the Madras Saturday Market, are already underway. The Bend Farmers Market in downtown begins Wednesday. The Redmond Farmers Market starts June 11.

The Bend farmers market at St. Charles will not open this year.

Other markets will not open until later this year, with the Prineville Farmers Market opening June 15, Sisters Farmers Market starting June 14 and the NorthWest Crossing Saturday Farmers Market opening June 29.
