If you’ve lived in Bend for any length of time your life may very well have been touched by this wonderful man. No matter your profession, Mike would ask your name and shake your hand. He served at St. Charles ICU and many of the nurses and volunteer staff still remember the home-baked treats he’d bring in. He volunteered in the soup kitchen at Trinity Episcopal Church, and was known to pull over in his Dodge to ask a homeless person to lunch. His 2 grandchildren, Emily and Ethan, were his pride and joy. Daisy, Mike’s black lab, has found a home at Kindred Spirits Dog Ranch, a place hand- picked by Mike before he moved on to a pain and fancy free life with Jesus. Mike peacefully passed at Partners In Care Hospice House surrounded by his two favorite ladies: daughter Amanda and sister Becky.
All who knew Mike are welcome to celebrate and laugh together at his Celebration of Life, 4:00 p.m. June 15, Hollinshead Barn (1235 NE Jones Rd., Bend).
