Deaths of note from around the world:
Jiroemon Kimura, 116: Recognized by Guinness World Records as the oldest man in recorded history. Died of natural causes in the hospital in his hometown of Kyotango, Japan.
Douglas Bailey, 79: A pioneering political consultant who had a key role in crafting Gerald Ford’s message in the 1976 presidential campaign. Died June 10 in Arlington, Va.
