PGA Professional hosts kids events

The PGA of America is hosting a pair of free children-friendly events to tee off the 46th PGA Professional National Championship, which is scheduled for Sunday through Wednesday at Sunriver Resort.

Lost Tracks Golf Club in southeast Bend will be hosting a free PGA Youth Golf Clinic today from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Junior golfers will hook up with Central Oregon professionals to focus on the fun and fitness elements of golf, and will feature instruction, games and giveaways.

On Saturday, the PGA will host the Get Golf Ready Family Fun Zone in Riverbend Park on 799 S.W. Columbia Street in Bend. The event will run from noon to 4 p.m., and feature golf demonstrations from PGA pros, free group lessons and golf-related games.

The PGA Professional National Championship begins Sunday at Sunriver’s Crosswater Club and Meadows course. Spectators are welcome and admission is free.
