2 arrested after knife incident

Two people were arrested Friday afternoon following an incident in which one woman threatened another with a knife, according to Bend Police.

Just before 12:30 p.m., Sherry Lynn Wallace, 38, of Bend, and Sarah M. Hendriks, 27, of Sunriver, were arguing in the parking lot of Cash Connection on Northeast Fifth Street, police said. Wallace reportedly threatened Hendriks with a hunting knife, then left in a vehicle with Gregory Lavier Magnus, 49, of Bend.

Officers located the vehicle a short time later. Wallace was arrested on suspicion of menacing, and Magnus, who police said was found in possession of stolen property, was arrested on suspicion of first- and second-degree theft. Both were lodged at the Deschutes County Jail.
