Pet food bank needs donations

The HOPE Pet Food Bank for low-income Central Oregonians is asking for donations.
HOPE Pet Food Bank, open the first Saturday of each month, has seen an increase in need over the past two months. Income-qualified clients are eligible to receive food for one month for up to three pets.
Cat food and litter, dog food, even open bags of food are accepted. The bank also needs new or gently used collars and leashes, beds and toys.
Donations can be dropped off at several Bend area locations including, two Bend Pet Express locations, 420 N.E. Windy Knolls Drive and 133 S.W. Century Drive; Bend Spay and Neuter Project, 910 S.E. Wilson Ave.; Birkenstock of Bend, 836 N.W. Wall St.; Cascade Business News, 404 N.E. Norton Ave., Bend and Dancin’ Woofs Dog Training and Daycare, 63027 Lower Meadow Drive, Bend.
To collect food at your business, please contact Bend Spay and Neuter Project at 541-617-1010 and a donation box will be dropped off at your location.
The HOPE Pet Food Bank is run by Bend Pet Express, a pet food and supply store, and Bend Spay and Neuter Project, which provides affordable, preventative veterinary care.
