Joshua Lee Ketchem of Redmond Oregon died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from injuries sustained in a tragic work accident. He was 27.

He was born November 8, 1985, in Fort Gordon, Georgia. A longtime resident, Josh moved to Redmond Oregon in 1989 with his family. He attended Redmond High School and earned his GED in 2004. Josh was engaged to the love of his life, Rachel Woods, of Madras, Oregon, who recently learned they were expecting their first child together due in March of 2014. The couple was planning to get married August 16, 2014, which would have been their two year anniversary.

Those who knew Josh knew him to be an all American, hard-working, family-loving and usually- dirt-covered guy. Josh enjoyed being outdoors, playing softball, working on his cars, and hanging out with his family and friends. He will be missed greatly.

Josh had always led a very active life. It was a life well spent and enjoyed, with many happy times. He enjoyed his life to the fullest, and made the most out of every moment.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Cordia Hansen and his mother, Nedra Ketchem.

A devoted father, Josh leaves behind three daughters Taylor, 8, Josette, 5, and Avalynn, 1.

Josh is survived by his father, Jon Eric Ketchem, his stepfather, Jordan Verley, brothers, Jon Ketchem, Andrew Ketchem, and his nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many loving friends and relatives.

A memorial service will be held at The Eagle Crest Resort on August 3rd at 1:00 p.m. in Juniper Hall. Any flower arrangements can be sent directly to Eagle Crest.
