Nov. 2, 1920 – Aug. 2, 2013

A lovely little lady, Mabel (Wilkins) Ryder, went home to the Lord to join her husband, Gene, on August 2, 2013, just days after the day that would have been their 75th wedding anniversary.

Mabel, the mother of Dennis Ryder (and wife, Carol) of Richland, WA, Tom Ryder (and wife, Carolyn) of Bend, OR; and daughter, Sue Blake (and husband Ken) also of Bend, left behind a wonderful, loving family that also includes nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Born November 2, 1920, Mabel traveled with her parents, Ruel and Nancy Wilkins, from her birthplace of Pittsburg, IL, to Portland, OR, at the age of three. She met Eugene Ryder while still a Washington High School student, and they were married the summer after her graduation in 1938.

She had lived in Portland and Hillsboro until this past May when she moved to Bend to be closer with her family here. Please sign our online guest book at www.niswonger-reynolds

A private family service will be held later in August in Bend.
