Haynie, age 82, died peacefully in Bend on Tuesday, August 6.

He was born in Buffalo, TX, and served for 23 years with the United States Air Force retiring in 1974. He and his wife, Britomarte Darlene (Van Leuven) were married for 60 years, having married in Bend in 1953. He worked for Fuqua Mobile Homes and retired from there after 20 years. He found enjoyment in hunting, fishing and camping as recreational activities.

His survivors include his wife, Bristomarte; son, David; two daughters, Debbie and Terri; two sisters, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at Deschutes Memorial Gardens, 63875 N. Hwy 97, Bend, at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2013.
