Wilbur and Karen (Hanson) Huck, of Bend, will celebrate their 40th anniversary with a trip to the Oregon Coast with their poodle, Birdy.

The couple were married Aug. 27, 1973, in Pocatello, Idaho.

Mr. Huck was a professor emeritus at Idaho State University until his retirement in 1990. Mrs. Huck works as a professor of speech communication at Central Oregon Community College and plans to retire next year.

Mr. Huck has lived in Central Oregon for 23 years and Mrs. Huck 25 years.
