Oct. 23, 1947 – Aug. 6, 2013

Tom, known by his good friends as Big D, passed away suddenly as he was battling cancer. He grew up in Connecticut and Minnesota and then migrated further West and spent most of his adult life in California. He moved to Bend in 2002, and was an avid outdoorsman.

Tom seemed to live life by his own rules, and the Central Oregon lifestyle suited him well.

His passion was fishing, and he frequented most of the Oregon mountain lakes. Most summer days he could be found casting flies from his pontoon boat.

Tom also enjoyed cross-country skiing, swimming, RVing and of course, beer tasting. He was an avid reader and history buff.

A Celebration of Life is planned for later this month.

He will be missed by friends, family, and his kitty ”Squeakers.
