Ronald Lewis Ron Martin of Terrebonne, Oregon, passed away at his home on August 30, 2013. He was 81.

A Committal Service with military honors will take place on Friday, September 27, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at Terrebonne Community Cemetery, located on Smith Rock Way in Terrebonne, Oregon. A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 p.m., at the home of Lisa Hartmann, 989 NE Mahogany Street, in Prineville, Oregon.

Ron was born January 9, 1932, in Portland, Oregon, to Carl and Elenora (Slayman) Martin. He grew up in the Portland area, graduating from Benson High School in 1950. Ron proudly served in the United States Navy. On July 19, 1958, he married Carolyn Jean Heintz in Portland, Oregon.

Throughout his career, Ron worked as a Journeyman Machinist. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Ron is survived by his three daughters, Tammy (husband, Dan) Rich, Lisa (husband, Bryan) Hartmann and Tara (husband, Larry) Duncan. Other survivors include his brother, Chuck Martin; and four grandchildren, Labree Rich, Kody Rich, Lane Duncan and Wade Duncan. He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Carolyn Martin; parents, Carl and Elenora Martin; and three sisters, Fransis Schell, Maryanne Franz and Hazel Martin.
